资源简介:
C-sections are interventions whereby infants are extracted into the environment of a C-section operating room (CSOR) without natural exposure to the maternal birth canal. Recent evidence suggests that infants born by C-section acquire human skin bacteria from the CSORs. The distribution of this microbial diversity in CSORs and its associations with physical environmental parameters of the OR surfaces remains to be established. Here, we mapped the bacteria contained in a CSOR in Puerto Rico, after C-section was performed, sampling grids of 30x30 cms across walls and wall-adjacent floors.
