RV Investigator Voyage IN2015_E05 EM710 Multibeam Echosounder Data

This record describes multibeam echosounder data collected on RV Investigator voyage IN2015_E05, which departed Hobart 2015-05-01 and returned on 2015-05-05. The Kongsberg EM710 multibeam echosounder was used to acquire seafloor bathymetry and backscatter information along the east coast slope offshore from Freycinet Peninsula. Ping rate varied according to depth. Data are stored in *.all raw format at CSIRO Oceans and Atmosphere. There are 48 files totaling 3.9 GB of raw data in this dataset. Sound velocity profiles using sea surface temperature were applied to this data during data acquisition. Tide corrections were not applied to the processed data. Due to the shallow nature of the inshore site and the duration of this survey over several tides, tide corrections will need to be applied from AusTides or from the data from the Triabunna tidal station.Processed data are available in XYZ and GSF format.
