SSEC SPARC Doppler LiDAR at WLEF. Version 1.0

This dataset contains vertical profiles of vertical velocity and backscatter from the Space Science and Engineering Center (SSEC) Portable Atmospheric Research Center (SPARC) Doppler lidar during the Chequamegon Heterogeneous Ecosystem Energy-balance Study Enabled by a High-density Extensive Array of Detectors (CHEESEHEAD) project. Data are in daily netCDF files with 10 second profiles. The SPARC was deployed at the WLEF-TV tower site for the duration of CHEESEHEAD. Among the instruments deployed near SPARC was a Halo Photonics Stream Line Doppler lidar. This Doppler lidar was in vertically staring mode throughout the experiment to complement other nearby Doppler lidars so that a virtual tower of three-dimensional wind observations could be carried out. This dataset contains the vertical velocity (w) and backscatter observations from the Doppler lidar. See the readme file for more information.
