Urban waste collected in Spain 2021, by autonomous community

Andalusia is the autonomous community in Spain with the largest urban waste collection volume. In 2021, some 4.62 million metric tons of waste were collected in the southern autonomous community. This was followed by Catalonia with 3.56 million metric tons and the Region of Valencia with 2.68 million metric tons. The autonomous community with the least amount of collected waste was La Rioja with roughly 128,000 metric tons.
