资源简介:
White micas are common alteration minerals in orogenic gold deposits and closed associated with gold mineralization. The compositions and structure of white micas, especially their Fe2+/Fe3+ ratios, are important for understanding the formation of gold deposits. White mica grains at two large orogenic gold deposits (Kanowna Belle and Sunrise Dam) show significant compositional changes (Si, Al, Fe, Mg, K) within several micrometres. This project aims to map the gold distribution in white mica alteration assemblage, and monitor the variation of Fe2+/Fe3+ ratios in white mica zonations, which will provide a unique view of redox processes related to gold mineralization'.\nLineage: Data was produced using the Maia 384 element detector array on the XFM X-ray microprobe beamline of the Australian Synchrotron and processed using the GeoPIXE software package.
