Sequencing and Patho-Genomic Analysis of Clinical Microbiology Isolates

Two or more different microorganisms cause a poly-microbial infection, and the treatments are more challenging than single microorganism infections. Antibiotic-resistant, anaerobic bacteria isolated at Pendik Training and Research Hospital, which provides clinical microbiology services in Istanbul, one of the megacities of Europe, are identified. Genomic analyses of microorganisms identified in the Clinic microbiology unit, one of the most comprehensive pathogen banks in Turkey, are performed and shared with the scientific community. In this context, this project aims to sequence novel pathogens of poly-microbial or single microbial infections.
