TEM Image Dataset for Mitochondrial Morphology Analysis in Chemotherapy Response and Cancer Metastasis Studies

This dataset contains transmission electron microscopy (TEM) images used for automated mitochondrial morphology analysis to study chemotherapy response and metastasis in triple negative breast cancer. The images were analyzed using the U-Net AI model described in the associated publication to quantify mitochondrial structural changes. The dataset includes 1,826 images organized by experimental conditions across multiple biological models, including patient-derived xenografts (PDX) and genetically modified mouse cell line models. Images represent various treatment conditions (docetaxel, doxorubicin, carboplatin, paclitaxel) and biological comparisons (primary tumors vs. lung metastases, wild-type vs. Drp1 knockout).
