PTSD & depression amongst survivors of a Bangladesh garment factory collapse_Survey

Sophia Newman, MPH. Mental health system development increases in the aftermath of disasters, but there is a paucity of data on post-disaster mental health in Bangladesh. We assessed the mental health of workers who survived the collapse of Rana Plaza, a nine-story factory in Savar, Bangladesh, on April 24, 2013. Via a cross-sectional observational study method, we collected data from 290 participants, and a psychiatrist completed a diagnostic assessment with 74 of these.
