This dataset was generated during the implementation of the "division of responsibilities of River and Lake Chiefs" function. It is one of the core systems for the implementation of the River and Lake Chief System in China – a policy framework where Party and government leaders at all levels serve as River and Lake Chiefs, responsible for the comprehensive management of water bodies including rivers and lakes within their respective jurisdictions.
