As a unique immune organ in birds, Bursa of fabricius (BF) plays an important role in the immune system. During waterfowl breeding, lipopolysaccharide (LPS) in the environment stimulates the inflammatory response of the organism, which in turn causes damage to the organism. Polysaccharides of Atractylodes macrocephala Koidz (PAMK), as the main active component of the Chinese medicine Atractylodes macrocephala, has a significant immune enhancing effect. Accordingly, this study intends to investigate the effect of PAMK on LPS-induced BF injury in goslings.
