Cumulative evidences revealed that gut microbiota might play a central role in governing the immune response in IBD. In the present study, to explore whether the therapeutic effect of Sj cercariae on IBD was resulted from modulating gut microbiota, we performed 16S rRNA gene sequencing as described in published methods.
