mRNA-seq of draining lymph nodes from rhesus macaques infected by SIV

Lymphoid tissues (LTs) are principal sites for HIV-1 replication, inflammation, immune activation, and CD4+ T cell loss induced by host-virus interaction. Although the mechanisms of HIV-1 pathogenesis have been extensively studies, the current understanding of the virus-host interaction in lymphatic tissues, especially during early infection, is still limited. We thus investigated virus-host interaction in the lymph nodes (LNs) of rhesus macaques in simian immunodeficiency virus (SIV) early infection using mRNA-seq.
