This dataset comprises ultrasonic guided wave signals acquired from SMC samples containing artificial defects. It was developed to evaluate the performance of guided wave imaging techniques with respect to defect detection, localization, and resolution—particularly for scenarios involving two closely spaced defects. The measurements were conducted using a 180 kHz, 3-cycle, 65 V negative square pulse excitation on the Pi Ceramics P-876.SP1 transducer. The received waveforms were sampled at 25 MHz. Each dataset includes 16 time-domain signals, corresponding to measurements in which sensors 1–4 sequentially served as transmitters and sensors 5–8 acted as receivers.
