Voynich Manuscript Phase 2: Zodiac Decipherment, Talismanic Tradition (Picatrix), and Structural Dictionary Reconstruction — Code, Data, and Papers

This repository contains Phase 2 of a computational analysis of the Voynich Manuscript (Beinecke MS 408), comprising two research papers (papers 3 and 4), 13 Jupyter notebooks, and all experimental results. Companion to Phase 1: https://zenodo.org/doi/10.5281/zenodo.19188265 DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.19188265 (papers 1–2, 48 notebooks, full corpus) Paper 3: The Venus Ring of Voynich f57v identifies a private subalphabet of 5 glyphs exclusive to folio f57v (probability ~10^−26), concentrated in a cyclic inscription of 17 × 4 atomic characters. Three iconographic correspondences with the only fully illustrated Picatrix Latinus manuscript (Cracow BJ MS 793) establish the Voynich as an independent witness of the medieval astrological-talismanic tradition. Paper 4: Positional Role Grammar and Structural Dictionary Reconstruction demonstrates that visual glyph families correlate with word-internal positions (z = −3.38, p = 0.0007), resolving into a six-role combinatorial grammar (OPENER → ENCODER at 63.5%) universal across all manuscript sections. A five-slot structural schema (DOMINIUM, GENUS, SPECIES, CORPUS, FINIS) is reconstructed, representing the syntactic skeleton of the lost key book.
