Longitudinal analysis of the national bureaucracy, historically hampered by the scarcity of curated and continuous data, is made possible with this data. The monthly payroll data of the services are characterized by empirical metrics constructed with raw data. These include: monthly staffing defined as the number of different individuals in service in the given month; staffing parameterized by sex, hiring regime, rank given for each official/month allows to define the composition of the service; the longevity of each official is calculated from the times of entry/exit of the service included in the data; turnover is the number of individuals leaving the service in a given month, divided by the staffing of the month. An identification (ID) of the public servant and the permanence status 1 if it is current, or 0 if he/she leaves the service in the given month are included.
