Dataset Purpose: This dataset is established to investigate plant distributions and their corresponding habitats in typical Chinese marsh wetland regions since the 1980s. Time Coverage: From the 1980s to the present. Target Users: Students and researchers engaged in physical geography research. Data Type and Discipline: The dataset is provided in relational database or Excel format, belonging to the field of physical geography. Its spatial coverage covers typical marsh wetland regions in China, with a total of approximately 1,000 records across all tables. Data Source: The data is sourced from marsh wetland plant specimens collected and curated by the Herbarium of the Northeast Institute of Geography and Agroecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, resulting in over 1,000 data records. Core Dataset Contents: The dataset primarily includes data from the China Wetland Plant Herbarium, covering Latin and Chinese names of plant families and genera, country information, altitude, taxonomic units (family, genus, species), habitat attributes, trait characteristics, and other relevant content. There are three core fields in total: Field 1: Country Refers to the country of origin, used to distinguish differences between countries. Field 2: Taxonomic Ranks (Family, Genus, Species) Biological taxonomy is a branch of biology that studies the methods and principles of biological classification, employing ranks including Domain, Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Order, Family, Genus, and Species for organism classification. Field 3: Habitat Attributes Habitat-related elements such as spatial distribution, climatic environment, soil and substrate, temperature, light, temporal structure, etc., fall within the scope of habitat attributes.
