Data for: Categorizing community type for epidemiologic evaluation of community factors and chronic disease across the United States

The file “LEADclassificationbytract.csv” contains two variables: geoid, which refers to the 11-digit census tract ID that corresponds to the 2010 Census tract boundaries for the contiguous United States (source: 2010 Rural-Urban Commuting Area codes, United States Department of Agriculture); and Lead_classification_tract, which denotes the LEAD classification of community type for 72,539 census tracts. The values for this variable are: higher density urban, lower density urban, suburban/small town, rural, and undesignated.
