We sequenced the miRNAs in royal jelly (RJ) either from A. mellifera (RJM) or A. cerana (RJC). We obtained about 10,318,386 and 9,493,118 reads from RJM and RJC, respectively. And detected gene expression levels in RJM and RJC, RJM contained 31 up-expressed, 6 equally expressed, and 2 down-expressed miRNAs compared to RJC.
