资源简介:
The scale and impact of social isolation and loneliness (SIAL) make them global health concerns. As older LGBTQIA+ adults face unique inequalities and barriers to accessing support, through discrimination and victimization, it is vital that research specifically examines their needs in order to provide tailored support or provision.Few studies have explored the impact of community-based interventions on older LGBTQIA+ adults. Meanwhile, the range of interventions, for reducing social isolation and loneliness (SIAL) and promoting wellbeing, among the general population of older adults are diverse. Although, the quality of this research is generally low and the inclusivity of these community-based interventions is unknown. Therefore, this scoping review aims to identify the international evidence for community-based interventions with older LGBTQIA+ adults. This review aims to identify, and summarise international evidence on community-based interventions designed to reduce SIAL and promote wellbeing for older LGBTQIA+ adults. Further sub-questions explore: the implementation and delivery of community-based interventions; the LGBTQIA+ sub-groups involved; identify the impact; and the research quality. This scoping review protocol has been developed using the established Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) framework and PRISMA extension for scoping reviews. The review will provide crucial insights into community-based interventions for older LGBTQIA+ adults.
