CAHDC: Climate-Adjusted HVAC Design Conditions, version 0.1

CAHDC (Climate-Adjusted HVAC Design Conditions) is a global, station-based dataset of ASHRAE Handbook of Fundamentals Chapter 14 climatic design conditions, reported for the observed present-day climate and projected to four global warming levels (+1.5, +2.0, +3.0, and +4.0 °C above pre-industrial). Version 0.1 covers 27,542 stations. The observed baseline is the anchor; climate models supply change signals only, never absolute values. The two projection sources, regional (CORDEX) and global (CMIP6), and each design value carries a central estimate with 5th and 95th percentile model-spread bands at every warming level. The full method (station networks, baseline computation, the projection pathways, and quality control) is given in the accompanying CAHDC methodology document; this record is the dataset itself. The dataset is distributed as Apache Parquet (an observed baseline plus per-warming-level CORDEX and CMIP6 annual and monthly tables), with a station map catalogue and a machine-readable manifest carrying SHA-256 checksums. All quantities are SI. License. CAHDC v0.1 is released under CC BY-NC 4.0 (Attribution-NonCommercial). Academic, non-profit, NGO, intergovernmental, humanitarian, and public-sector use is expressly permitted at no charge, including cost-recovery and low- and middle-income country adaptation work (see the Permitted Uses grant in the bundled LICENSE).
