VPRS 14886 Register of Farm Forestry Agreements

This record series is in the format of large cards. Each card registers the details of a Farm Forestry Agreement. Each agreement is registered by a sequential number. Each registration card includes a file number. The file numbers enable further research. The files belong to VPRS 11563 General Correspondence Files, Annual Single Number System. The Farm Forestry Agreements are legal agreements between Forests Commission Victoria and the owners of land on which trees are to be planted. Information recorded on the registration cards includes the name and address of the applicant, property details and a record of advances. Cards exist only for agreements 1-249. The later cards may be no longer extant. A number of cards relate to Refusals. They were arranged separately and are to be found in Unit 3. As agreements were not entered into, the Refusals do not have agreement numbers. However, they do include file numbers.
