Brotherton higher plant diversity and cover abundance data
收藏资源简介:
Plant diversity and composition was recorded at the Brotherton burning trial in the summer of 2018. The trial has had near consistent application of a range of fire-return interval and burn season treatments since 1981. Cover abundance of higher plants was estimated using the Domin-Krajina scale in twenty, square, two meter squared quadrats evenly placed in each treatment plot. A total of 21 plots representing seven different fire treatments are replicated randomly over three blocks. This diversity sampling forms part of the South African Environmental Observation Network`s and Ezemvelo KwaZulu-Natal Wildlife`s long-term biodiversity observation program. Additional information regarding the trial and dataset can be obtained from the related manuscript on the influence of fire regimes, notably pyrodiversity on plant diversity.
