Salmonella Typhi induces a change of host cell metabolism

Salmonella enterica serovars Typhi may alter the expression profile of host cells, which thereby influences host cell metabolism. These changes could be seen as host mechanisms to control immune response against the bacterial infection as well as bacterial mechanisms to modulate inflammation. This work provides a platform for more detailed studies of the molecular interactions between Salmonella Typhi and host cell metabolism or many other pathways.
