This study aimed to validate 16S rRNA sequencing method for food safety assessment. We designed a Vibrio parahaemolyticus contamination and improper storage model of raw oyster and monitored microbiota changes to examine the effectiveness of microbiota analysis (V3-V4 amplicon sequencing) . V. parahaemolyticus specific phage was also included in the model as a potential biocontrol agent.
