We selected nine buildings in South Campus of UCLA in which to investigate staircase lighting: La Kretz, Botany, Boelter, Math Sciences, Geology, Life Sciences, Young, Franz and Knudsen Hall.In each staircase of the buildings, we collected data on the number of light bulbs, type of light bulbs, wattage of light bulbs, presence of motion sensors, and the luminous flux of natural lighting present. The total daily energy consumption (EC) of a staircase is calculated using the following formula:<br>EC=(NxWxOH)/1000<br>N is the number of lights, W is the wattage of each light, and OH is the total hours of operations (Ganandran et al., 2014). EC was calculated in kilowatt-hours, which is a measure of power consumption of one watt for one hour.
我们选取了加州大学洛杉矶分校(University of California, Los Angeles,UCLA)南校区的9栋建筑,用于开展楼梯照明调研,涉及建筑分别为La Kretz馆、植物学馆(Botany)、Boelter馆、数理科学楼(Math Sciences)、地质楼(Geology)、生命科学楼(Life Sciences)、Young馆、Franz馆以及Knudsen馆。针对每栋建筑的每一处楼梯,我们采集了如下数据:灯具数量、灯具型号、灯泡额定功率、是否配备人体感应传感器,以及该区域的自然光光通量(luminous flux)。单处楼梯的每日总能耗(EC)可通过以下公式计算: EC=(N×W×OH)/1000 其中N为灯具总数,W为单灯额定功率,OH为总运行时长(Ganandran等,2014)。能耗以千瓦时为单位,其定义为功率1瓦的设备持续运行1小时所消耗的电能。
