SMAPVEX19-22 Millbrook Airborne Lidar, Version 1

These lidar measurements were collected in April and August 2022 in the vicinity of Millbrook, NY during the SMAPVEX19-22 campaign. This location was chosen due to its forested land cover, as SMAPVEX19-22 aims to validate satellite derived soil moisture estimates in forested areas. The two acquisition periods were selected to characterize differences during \"leaf-off\" and \"leaf-on\" conditions.本数据集的激光雷达（LiDAR）观测数据采集于2022年4月与8月，采集区域位于纽约州米尔布鲁克周边，对应SMAPVEX19-22野外验证实验开展期间。该区域被选为实验点位的原因在于其以森林植被为主要土地覆盖类型，而SMAPVEX19-22实验的核心目标为验证森林区域内卫星反演得到的土壤湿度估算结果。本次实验选取两个数据采集时段，旨在表征植被落叶期（leaf-off）与全叶期（leaf-on）的地表环境差异。
