Replication Data for: To Move or Stay? Migration Aspirations Amid Conflict and Climate Change

This repository accompanies a forthcoming article in the *Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS)*.

The analysis integrates individual-level survey data from Gallup with multiple external data sources: conflict indicators from the UCDP Conflict Data Program, drought measures derived from data provided by the Climate Research Unit (University of East Anglia), country income classifications from the World Bank, and democracy indicators from the Varieties of Democracy (V-Dem) Project. The Gallup survey data are proprietary and cannot be redistributed. All other underlying data sources are publicly available.

This repository provides the full set of Stata scripts used to clean, construct, and merge the datasets, as well as the code used for statistical analysis and figure generation. In addition, we include the constructed drought and conflict indicators used in the analysis, formatted for integration with the Gallup survey data.

Researchers with appropriate access to the Gallup data should be able to reproduce the empirical results reported in the article using the materials provided here.
