Russian 50 Station Soil Moisture Data in the Global Soil Moisture Data Bank

The Russian soil moisture data set consists of measurements of plant available soil moisture using gravimetric techniques from 50 stations. The entire data set covers the years 1952-1985, but the spatial extent of these data is very poor until about 1975 (see RUSWET data documentation). The data comprises two files: soil moisture measurements taken three times a month and a seasonal cycle file consisting of mean monthly values.
