The dataset contains 5‑minute time‑slot indicators of news (1) versus non‑news (0) for 86 national television channels in 21 countries during evening prime time. It covers seven consecutive days from 18:00 to 23:00 local time, yielding 60 time slots per day and 420 time slots per channel. Each column represents one country–channel panel, named with a three‑letter country code and channel abbreviation (for example, KOR_KBS1, USA_ABC). Each row corresponds to a specific 5‑minute slot identified by both a numeric time index and a clock‑time label.
