Transcriptome of Pseudomonas sp OST1909 when grown in the presence of naphthenic acids.

RNA-seq analysis of Pseudomonas sp OST1909 exposed to various preparations of naphthenic acids samples led to the identiifcation of many NA-induced genes. Duplicate cultures were grown to early log phase in the presence of a custom 9x, acyclic commercial (Sigma), or OSPW-extracted NA mixtures of naphthenic acids (150 mg/L). Total RNA was extracted, and then prepared as SOLiD sequencing libraries. Analysis of RNA-Seq data was used to identify genes differentially regulated in response to exposure to naphthenic acids.
