This dataset provides the empirical foundation for the study Formalizing the Periodicity and Boundary Clarity Model in Cognitive Grammar. It includes 4,845 linguistic tokens extracted from the Corpus of Contemporary American English (COCA) and the British National Corpus (BNC). The data documents the distribution of English prepositions (in, on, at) and includes the statistical contingency matrices for the Chi-Square analyses performed to validate the model's predictive accuracy across regional dialects.
