Neutrophil transcriptomes in blunt traumatic injury

Trauma induces a “genomic storm” of gene expression in circulating leukocytes. We hypothesized that the neutrophil contribution to this response after blunt trauma varies with the magnitude of physiologic insult and with exposure to additional and subsequent inflammatory stimuli. Bulk RNAseq on isolated CD66b+ neutrophils, sequenced with Novaseq 6000; Trauma: On admission to the trauma bay (0h), 8 hrs, 24 hrs, and 72 hrs after admission.
