The aim of the project is to study the microbial composition and the relationship of the rumen microbiota of adult Lacaune dairy ewes with health and milk traits. The relevance of this work is to unravel the phenotypic and genetic associations of the rumen microbiota with traits of productive interest, as well as to determine the genetic control of the host on the microbiota.
