Communication difficulties with the use of face coverings: A cross-sectional dataset with an Indian perspective

Covid – 19 has encroached human lives in many ways, amongst various other domains being affected, including health and finances, communication is the most unspoken about. This survey data was collected from a study-specific online questionnaire to review the impact of face coverings as the preventive measures taken against the pandemic on the social aspect of communication in Indian perspective, circulated via social media and filled by 313 participants. The collected data includes respondents of all age groups; 172 (18-25 years), 46 (26-40 years), 84 (41-60 years), 5 (above age 60) and 6 (below age 18). Qualitative analyses of the responses can be done to explore the effects of face coverings on communication and communicative behavior concerning Interpersonal, Intrapersonal, Comprehension and Expression domains. In addition, to search and analyze the involvement of age-related factors, if any.
