This study provides the overview of the transcriptome of two rice cultivars CR 1014(resistant) and Swarna-Sub1 (susceptible) with contrasting disease responses to sheath blight disease at two time point.The obtained data will be helpful in identifying the candidate gene for sheath blight resistance in rice and its subsequent use in rice resistance breeding .
