Share of U.S. adults encountering financial cybercrime 2023, by type of crime

A September 2023 survey found that 64 percent of adults in the United States who had encountered financial cybercrime or online financial fraud faced credit card fraud. A further 32 percent reported about data breach incidents, followed by account hacking for 31 percent.
