This study aimed to characterise the milk microbiome of allergic mothers. Samples and data originated from the IFOS study, an RCT aimed at assessing the effect of infant fish oil supplementation on infant allergy outcomes. Therefore, all mothers in this study were atopic, with or without doctor-diagnosed allergic diseases. Milk samples were collected at 3 and 6 months postpartum and the full-length 16S rRNA gene were sequenced using the PacBio sequencing method.
