Dental Microwear dataset comparing the measurements of an Optical and a 3D Digital microscope

Measurements using an Optical (ZEISS Axioscope A1 metallographic microscope) and a 3D Digital (Hirox KH8700) microscopy equipment of the same labial or buccal human dental views from the sites of El Bordellet, Galls Carboners, Els Pujols and Porroig. The quantified variables include the total number of striations (TN), the total number of disto-occlusal to mesio-cervical striations (DM), the total number of mesio-occlusal to disto-cervical striations (MD), the total number of vertical striations (V), the total number of horizontal striations (H), the total number of vertical striations to the total number of striations (NV/TN), the total number of horizontal striations to the total number of striations (NH/TN), and the average length of striations (X, in μm).
