资源简介:
The fortunes of dialects during the Fascist regime were fluctuating, if we consider that in the first phase it was decided to value and use them strategically, while in the second phase it was decided to oppose and suppress them, following the dialectophobic turn made by Fascism. In the scholastic reform work implemented by Giovanni Gentile in 1923, the general director of elementary education, the pedagogist Giuseppe Lombardo Radice, promoted the teaching of the Italian language from dialect, through the dissemination of manuals for translation from dialect to language, the history and stages of which will be retraced. The project was part of the concept of lived grammar, very dear to Lombardo Radice: the aim was to encourage children to learn grammar through what for them was the spoken language, i.e. the dialect. Finally, the structural and linguistic analysis of a translation manual from Apulian dialect, entitled Zolle infocate. Esercizi di traduzione dal dialetto pugliese per la quinta classe elementare, written by Filippo Maria Pugliese and conforming to the reformed programmes of 1923. In particular, we will focus on the part in translation and on some footnotes in some sections of the booklet.
