Gene expression profiles of macrophage and multinucleated cells programmed by IL15

We report gene expression profiles of macrophage and multinucleated cells programmed by IL15 including the mRNAs isolated, libraries prepared and gene expression profiles determined by RNA-seq. Overall design: To investigate the mechanism of IL-15 induced MGC formation, adherent monocytes from three donors were treated with IL-15. Control cultures consisted of adherent monocytes in media alone and treatment with IL-4, known to induce foreign body giant cells. The percentage of MGCs was quantified at days 1, 3, 6 and 10. The cells were collected at these timepoints, the mRNAs were isolated, libraries prepared and gene expression profiles determined by RNA-seq.
