From 2017 to 2018, the State Key Laboratory of Systematic and Evolutionary Botany, Institute of Botany, CAS, and the Tibetan Grass Research Institute, Xizang Z-grass Ecology and Technology Co., Ltd. made investigation on vascular plants in Shannan prefecture, Tibet Autonomous Region. More than 2 955 specimens were collected in this investigation. According to the identification records of these specimens and the specimens collected in Shannan prefecture in the National Herbarium of Botany (PE), a checklist of vascular plants in Shannan prefecture, Tibet Autonomous Region was made, containing 990 species (including subspecific grades) with 98 families and 370 genera.
