Resident population of Matera by sub-municipal areas (neighborhoods) and some demographic indicators at 31.12.2021

The dataset is the photograph updated to 31.12.2021 of the residents of our City divided by age classes (aged years), old age index (it is a demographic ratio of composition, defined as the percentage ratio between the population aged 65 years and over and the population aged 0-14 years), dependency index (it is obtained by comparing the resident population in non-active age from 0 to 14 years and from 65 years and over on the population of working age from 15 to 64 years, this ratio, which is generally multiplied by percent, measures the demographic burden on the population of working age. Values above 50% indicate a situation of generational imbalance). And finally, the index of Structure of the active population (is the percentage ratio between the population aged 40-64 years and the population aged 15-39 years).
