资源简介:
files recorded by Richard Cook, KE6EE
Grid square of location recorded: CM98jp
Maximum obscuration of the sun was 80% at 1620UT.
These data files are recordings of the entire medium wave broadcast band (535-1705kHz) made during the annular solar eclipse of 14 October 2024 from 1440UT to 1720UT from near Sacramento, CA, USA. They are part of a set of such recordings made from 13 Oct 0400UT to 15 Oct 1900UT.
Data Quality: There were data dropouts at Oct 13 16:22-23UT, Oct 14 16:28UT, and Oct 14 16:45-16:48UT, plus a few shorter ones. There were many weak spurious carriers.
Data files are .wav format, but the archived files are .zip, with about five .wav files packaged together in each .zip file, using the prefix "KE6EE-wideband_500_1750kHz“. The recordings not included here are available to provide reference data for the eclipse recordings. Please contact HamSCI at am-eclipse@hamsci.org if you require this data.
Antenna: W6LVP loop, orientated East/West and six feet above ground.
Receiver: Sdrplay duo RF gain = 0.0dB, with center frequency 1125kHz, recording a 1250kHz wide passband, using SDRuno software, V1.42 1128. See included file "IMG_20231014_094558810.jpg" for further settings. The receiver was frequency locked to a Bodnar MiniGPS Reference Clock. Computer time accuracy was determined by Windows NTP using time.nist.gov .
