This classification of geographical regions has a composition divided into only two levels: continents and countries. The only exception is Spain, which is subdivided into Spain without the Canary Islands.Each country is shown on a single continent.There are also references to countries that have disappeared or whose borders have varied over time, as well as artificial groupings to meet the needs of ISTAC.
