资源简介:
For more information about this layer please see the GIS Data Catalog. The King County Wildlife Habitat Network, most recently amended in 1996, was designed to help reduce the effects of fragmentation by linking diverse habitats through the developed and developing landscape. The network is intended to facilitate animal dispersal by connecting isolated critical areas, segments, open space, and wooded areas on adjacent properties. The corridors tend to follow riparian areas and streams across the lowlands and the upland plateau to the east and southeast of Lake Washington into the foothills. The Wildlife Habitat Network is mapped on the "Wildlife Network and Public Ownership Map", most recently published in the 2024 Comprehensive Plan Update. See https://kingcounty.gov/en/dept/executive/governance-leadership/performance-strategy-budget/regional-planning/king-county-comprehensive-plan/current-adopted-plan Attachment A, pages 137 and 175.
