This study aims to characterize microbes at the San Pedro Ocean Time-series (SPOT) from 2005 to 2018, using small subunit (SSU) rRNA gene sequencing from two size fractions (0.2-1 and 1-80 μm), with a universal primer set that amplifies both prokaryotic 16S and eukaryotic 18S rRNA genes. This allows for direct comparisons of diversity patterns in a single set of analyses. This dataset includes National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) accession numbers and related sample information.本研究旨在表征2005年至2018年圣佩德罗海洋时间序列观测站（San Pedro Ocean Time-series, SPOT）的微生物群落特征。研究采用可同时扩增原核生物16S rRNA基因与真核生物18S rRNA基因的通用引物组，对两个粒径分级（0.2-1 μm与1-80 μm）的样品开展小亚基核糖体RNA（SSU rRNA）基因测序，从而可在同一套分析流程中直接对比二者的多样性分布模式。本数据集包含美国国家生物技术信息中心（National Center for Biotechnology Information, NCBI）登录号及相关样本信息。
