Dyslexia_Schizotypy_Soft Signs

Data collection: Data collected from participants recruited at or around the University of Wollongong, Australia. Includes Dyslexia status, Schizotypy scores NART Correct responses and neurological soft signs.
Aims: The aim was to determine the factors which predicted dyslexia status, specifically whether schizotypy and neurological soft signs would be elevated in those with dyslexia. Higher scores all indicator greater endorsement of that particular variable.
Main findings: Those with dyslexia had higher scores for overall neurological soft signs, motor coordination signs, disorganised schizotypy and were more likely to have had an imaginary companion as well as having lower verbal intelligence scores. Dyslexia status was predicted by higher disorganised schizotypy and lower verbal IQ when all the significantly different variables were placed into an enter method logistic regression.
