Fine-scale genomic, morphological, and reproductive differences delimit the Caribbean octocorals Plexaura homomalla and P. kukenthali

This study highlights the utility of an integrated approach to ocotocoral systematics. We resolve the relationship between two taxa that have a complicated history of taxonomic revision and uncertainty. Of particular interest was the use of high-throughput sequencing technology, which we used to sequence the transcriptomes of several individuals.
