This project has designed to enables the precise identification of different Klebsiella pneumoniae strains circulating in the country through WGS. This information is vital for understanding outbreaks, transmission pathways, and the epidemiology of infections, which can inform better infection control practices in hospitals and communities.Pakistan faces significant challenges with antibiotic resistance, especially with bacteria like Klebsiella pneumoniae. So this project has designed to identify and track the spread of multi-drug resistant (MDR) and extensively drug-resistant (XDR) strains.By sequencing the genome, researchers have to identify virulence factors that contribute to the severity of infections.
