Effects of digital government construction on enterprise resilience: Evidence from China

The dataset contains the panel data of China's listed companies and cities from 2013 to 2022 and includes all the variable data involved in this study. The research hypothesis of this research mainly includes the following four: (1) Digital government construction contributes to enhancing enterprise resilience; (2) Local governments' technological management capabilities will positively moderate the relationship between digital government construction and enterprise resilience; (3) Local governments' financial pressure will negatively moderate the relationship between digital government construction and enterprise resilience; (4) Local governments' peer pressure will positively moderate the relationship between digital government construction and enterprise resilience. In this dataset, “ledgi1” represents the level of digital government construction, which is obtained from the China Software Evaluation Center (www.cstc.org.cn). we employ the performance of Chinese government portal websites from 2010 to 2017 released by Guomai Network to measure the level of digital government construction (ledgi2). “resilience” indicates the level of enterprise resilience; “edgitech” represents the intersection of digital government and technology management capabilities; “edgirank” represents the intersection of digital government and peer pressure; “edgifinpre” represents the intersection of digital government and fiscal pressure. The city-level statistical data are obtained from the China Urban Statistical Yearbook and the EPS Databases. The enterprise-level data used in this paper are obtained from the CSMAR and Wind Databases.本数据集涵盖2013至2022年中国上市公司与城市层面的面板数据，包含本研究涉及的全部变量数据。本研究的研究假设主要包含以下四点：(1) 数字政府建设有助于提升企业韧性；(2) 地方政府技术管理能力对数字政府建设与企业韧性的关系具有正向调节作用；(3) 地方政府财政压力对数字政府建设与企业韧性的关系具有负向调节作用；(4) 地方政府同行压力对数字政府建设与企业韧性的关系具有正向调节作用。本数据集内，"ledgi1"代表数字政府建设水平，数据源自中国软件评测中心（China Software Evaluation Center，www.cstc.org.cn）；本研究采用国脉互联发布的2010至2017年中国政府门户网站绩效得分，衡量数字政府建设水平（"ledgi2"）。"resilience"表示企业韧性水平；"edgitech"代表数字政府建设与技术管理能力的交互项；"edgirank"代表数字政府建设与同行压力的交互项；"edgifinpre"代表数字政府建设与财政压力的交互项。城市层面统计数据源自《中国城市统计年鉴》与EPS数据库；本文所用企业层面数据源自国泰安（CSMAR）与万得（Wind）数据库。
